Catalina Housing is led by professionals with deep expertise in affordable housing finance, policy, and
impact investment. Our work is driven by long-term commitment, grounded in practical execution, and
guided by a belief in housing as a foundation for opportunity.

Erik Aukland Managing Principal

Erik Aukland is the founder and Managing Principal of Catalina Housing. He brings over 20 years of real estate experience, including more than 14 years dedicated to affordable housing investment, finance, and portfolio strategy. He has closed over $3 billion in transactions nationwide.

Before launching Catalina, Erik led institutional investment teams responsible for every phase of affordable housing execution—from asset and portfolio management to workouts, restructurings, and long-term preservation strategies. His experience spans LIHTC recapitalizations, 15-year exits, public-private partnerships, and the use of complex federal, state, and local funding tools.

He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Graaskamp Center for Real Estate and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is active in ULI and WREAA.

As founder of Hestia Housing Company and Redstone Creek Management, she brings deep expertise in development, finance, and mission-driven strategies that help shape Catalina’s preservation approach.

President, Broadstreet Impact Services

Steve leads Broadstreet, a mission-aligned investment platform serving institutional and philanthropic clients. He provides valuable guidance at the intersection of finance, strategy, and impact—supporting Catalina’s efforts to align capital with community outcomes.
